| The 360 Degrees have deep roots in 60's British pop/rock and Detroit rhythm & blues: Bert Linton has said that all of them were influenced by the Beatles. Brad Dean was playing in a Rolling Stones cover band before forming the 360's with Buddy Thomley. "I was in a good band but it just wasn't what I wanted to be doing," recalls Brad. "So I called Buddy and asked him about us doing something together. We talked over what we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it and we realized that we both wanted to go full circle, 360 degrees, back to the music we had loved when we were younger." So The 360 Degrees was born. Buddy's soulful voice combined with Brad's driving rhythms gave the band a unique ability to play a variety of styles, and over the years they've added new personalities and superb musicians to keep the band fresh and kickin'. Bert plays keyboards and guitar, and has an awesome ability to select songs that keep their shows riveting. Bert also adds another quality singer to the band. Janet Sullivan, Bobby Russell and Tommy Webster are the three newest members to the band. Janet provides an exceptional ability to liven a show and guarantees that nobody will ever leave a 360's show without thoroughly enjoying themselves. Her versatile vocals allow the 360's to go just about anywhere in covering female vocalists. Bobby's skills on just about any instrument, adds the sound and versatility needed to round off the bands ability to cover just about any song. Tommy brings a remarkable ability to play-- both bass and guitar -- and provides the band with a still greater ability to diversify their sound. It has been more than twelve years since Brad's fateful phone call to Buddy, but there is no slow down in sight. They continue to entertain and enthrall audiences with their amazing ability to play driving rock and roll and blue-eyed soul. |
